We mill trees from your project to final form for beams, decking, fencing, flooring, or furniture making. We stay onsite to get the job done right.
The operators job is to run the sawmill for greater production.
It is preferred for you to supply two workers available to offload lumber. A second person is needed to assist the operator in rolling the logs onto the mill. It rarely costs more than $1 per board foot for your wood
Save costs by trimming large logs over 32 inches before our mill arrives or we will trim logs to fit our mill at our hourly rate and by cutting all limbs flush with the bark or we will have to use our chainsaw to cut limbs flush at our hourly rate. The sawdust will be piled next to the mill or placed in cans when provided. We will leave all cap cuts whole or help you cut them into stickers for stacking to dry your lumber or cut for firewood.

Created in 2007 with a strong passion for working with wood, Brent Cashion, Owner and operator of Urban Logs to Lumber, sought a way to use so much of the waste wood harvested in Southern California. It is estimated that 3 million board feet of wood are destroyed each year in urban areas. This wood is either cut for fire wood or mulched. Either method adds to the carbon foot print each of us leave. We are devoted to reducing our carbon footprint by decreasing the need to transport wood from distant forests. Brent has done a tremendous amount of research into cutting this method of saving usable wood from doomed trees, and has continual contact with wood reclaimers as well as saw mills in other parts of the country. His experience and knowledge assure the customer that they will get the best possible cut in any type of wood.
Our landfills are filling up at record rates. Urban Logs to Lumber is dedicated to preserving our forests by sawing urban forest trees into usable lumber for the construction and cabinet making industries. Using our Timberking 1600 Hydraulic sawmill, we are able to cut logs up to 36 inches diameter and 16 feet length. We can mill at your site or ours, saving the cost of transporting the lumber.
